Amazon to Live Stream Thursday Night Football

April  20,  2017 / By Cynthia Ramsaran

Amazon recently outbid Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube for the rights to live stream the NFL’s “Thursday Night Football” in 2017, according to media reports.

The online retail giant, which accounts for more than half of every new dollar spent online in America, won the rights to stream the games for about $50 million (five times what Twitter paid for the same rights in 2016)  and will offer it for free viewing to its Amazon Prime subscribers.

Just in time for the 2017 NFL schedule release later today, Taylor Digital Sports Senior Content Manager Bo Wulf explains in the video below what the Amazon deal means for fans and marketers.
