New Blog for 20-Somethings

April  25,  2011 / By Taylor Blog

  1. One snowy night in January, my friend Lauren Metz and I braved the weather to meet for dinner at a quaint Italian restaurant in Midtown. As we were catching up on our lives (new jobs, relationship milestones, etc.), we started analyzing the Quarter Life that we – along with all of our friends – were in. Wishing there was an owner’s manual for people in their twenties, we started talking about all the things that would have been nice to know. Cut to a glass of wine later, we had mapped out our new venture: Life2PointOh (pronounced Life 2.0)!

I’m excited to say our new blog officially launched today (four months of planning and creating later!) and I have to give a lot of credit for it to my experience at Taylor. Ironically I felt more inspired to create a blog in this new job than I did during my days in editorial. That’s because I’ve been working with bloggers on some of Taylor’s client campaigns, and it got me excited about the possibility of having one of my own. Not to mention Jordana Bruner, Digital Strategist, promised she’d link out to us on her blog Clutch 22 – which was a good enough reason for me! 🙂

I hope you get a chance to check out my new hobby and maybe even get some useful tips from it (like how to feel happy at your desk or how to win a hat contest at a Kentucky Derby Party).

Would love to hear your thoughts on the site. And, just curious, has your job ever inspired you to do something? Let me know in a comment below!
