Building upon the foundation and future of its leadership team, Taylor announced today that it has promoted long-time agency executives Maeve Hagen and Mike Costabile. Hagen fills the newly-created position of President of Taylor’s Charlotte, NC office, and Costabile has been named a Managing Partner of the agency in New York.
“I have had the good fortune and opportunity to work closely with Maeve and Mike for the past 10 and 15 years, respectively,” said Tony Signore, Taylor CEO and Managing Partner. “Their leadership, business acumen, management and client relations skills have played a significant role in Taylor’s transformation and growth during the past five years. Given the positions that Maeve and Mike have ascended to within our agency, I can state with a great deal of certainty that Taylor is structurally sound, with a very promising future.”
Hagen, most recently a Senior Vice President at Taylor, joined the agency in 2007 following an internship in our New York City office. In addition to account leadership roles with Allstate and Diageo, Maeve will now oversee all operations in Taylor’s Charlotte office, including HR, IT and facilities, and continue to oversee enterprise-wide initiatives such as diversity and inclusion, and professional development. She will report directly to Tony Signore.
Over the course of her decade-long career at Taylor, Hagen has held senior positions with key accounts, including Diageo, Kimberly-Clark, Nestle-Purina and Allstate. She was instrumental in planning and activating programming for marquee events and sponsorships like the Super Bowl, the Allstate Sugar Bowl, NCAA March Madness and the Olympic Games, in addition to leveraging culturally relevant moments such as St. Patrick’s Day and New Year’s Eve.
Costabile, who previously served as Executive Vice President, will continue leading the agency’s largest and longest-standing client partner, alcohol industry giant, Diageo, while expanding his focus to enterprise-wide initiatives. Since joining Taylor as a Senior Account Executive in 2003, he has managed some of the largest category-leading brands in the world, including MasterCard, Gillette, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Merck and Staples. For the past seven years, he has overseen the growth and diversification of Diageo, and for the past two years has served as senior counselor to AMB Group, owner of the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United FC and the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium. As the lead on the Diageo portfolio, Costabile is responsible for coordinating marketing communications activities for numerous iconic brands, including Bulleit Bourbon, Captain Morgan, Guinness, Crown Royal, Smirnoff and George Dickel.
During his time at Taylor, Costabile has participated in many landmark sports marketing initiatives including the launch of Diageo’s sponsorship interests in NASCAR, which broke new ground as the first spirits company to have an official sponsorship in a sport that long shunned distilled spirits. His programs have won numerous industry awards, including the PRSA Award of Excellence, Cannes PR Lion, Sabre Award, Telly Award, AVA Digital Award and Silver Anvil.
