Our Pitch to Baseball: Let’s Make Opening Day Shine Again

March  28,  2019 / By Michael Guzzo

Baseball may still be America’s Pastime, but in recent years, it seems like the mercury has to rise above 75 before people warm up to a new season. Simply put, Opening Day in baseball, once as revered as a national holiday, has gotten a cold shoulder from a majority of the baseball populace.  The reason’s may be many – from the increasing popularity and competition from other sports (March Madness, NFL Draft countdown, NBA and NHL playoff runs), to bad weather, to an aging consumer base and a lack of interest among younger generations.  So our team of baseball loyalists at Taylor held a long, productive session in the bullpen and fine-tuned three innovated pitches that can help build fan engagement — and ultimately more attention and excitement around Opening Day.
