The National Sports Marketing Network (NSMN) recently welcomed Taylor COO & Managing Partner, Bryan Harris, to it’s New York City Chapter Board.
As a member of the NSMN Board with a focus in public relations strategy, Harris will assist with the national organization’s 20th anniversary in 2018, chapter programming, membership recruitment and community outreach. Taylor has been a proud NSMN Corporate Member for more than a decade.
“I was invited to join the board by the organization’s founder and driving force, Jennifer Karpf, who I have known for many years,” said Harris. “I agreed to serve for a number of reasons, including opportunities to network with and share best practices with other sports industry professionals, and as a way to give back to the sports community in our area of expertise.”
Harris has spent 35 years in the marketing communications industry and has inspired a generation of professionals with his insight, strategic counsel and thought leadership. He joined Taylor in 1989 and has managed a wide variety of accounts for leading global brands such as Bristol-Myers, GSK, Gillette, MasterCard, Pitney Bowes and Panini America.
In 2004, Harris became Taylor’s Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner. From 2013-2016, Harris served as a director and treasurer for the PR Council and is the founder and chair of the Council’s COO Group, a peer network of senior operations executives at leading PR firms across North America. He has also been active with the March of Dimes for more than 25 years, serving as the longtime public relations chair of the organization’s annual sports luncheon (which raises more than $1 million) as well as a member of the New York chapter’s communications committee.
Harris is a frequent guest speaker on the subject of “diverse career opportunities in the dynamic and evolving discipline of public relations,” educating and inspiring students from prestigious universities around the country.
